I have been been awarded the Mario Acerboni East Midlands Master Wedding Photographer of the Year 2011!  I am delighted with this achievement which requires three images from one wedding to creatively illustrate before, during and after the marriage ceremony.  This is a prestigous international award and is part of the annual professional photography showcase Master Photographer of the Year Awards.  The glittering awards presentations and gala dinner is held every October, in 2011 the event is taking place at the Hilton Hotel, Newcastle upon Tyne.

Gareth & Rebecca’s Pre-Wedding Photoshoot at Grace Dieu Manor, Leicestershire

Grace Dieu Manor is the lovely venue for Gareth and Rebecca’s  August wedding reception. As is usual with all of my wedding clients, I met them at the Manor to discuss the schedule for their wedding day with a short photo shoot afterwards.  This is an ideal icebreaker for the couple which also helps me to see how couples interact with each other, it is so important that everyone is at ease before the wedding day.  A great couple, take a look at a selection of images from their engagement photo shoot!

Ali and Jason’s Wedding at Rowton Castle, Shropshire

Rowton Castle near Shrewsbury is internationally recognised as one of the 10 best wedding venues in the UK and this was the stunningly beautiful location for Ali and Jason’s wedding on a wonderful, sunny April day.  Ali and her bridesmaids, Cress and Viki, had a fun and relaxed time in the Rowton Suite in preparation for the ceremony whilst Jason and the groomsmen greeted their guests.

Jason & Ali’s wedding day at Rowton Castle was overseen by Lewis in his usual calm and efficient manner.  The day was romantic and fun from beginning to end and Ali was a gorgeous bride for Jason.  A truly wonderful day at a spectacular venue with a super couple!

Leigh & Jen’s Wedding at Thurlestone Hotel, Devon

A day of non-stop fun, emotion and laughter is the only way that Leigh and Jennifer’s wedding can be summed-up.  The happy couple tied the knot on Saturday 16th April at the Thurlestone Hotel near Salcombe in South Devon, a stunning location close to the beach.  Leigh is a surfer and what better than a wedding venue close to some of his favourite breaks. A magical day for a wonderful couple and their guests, it was a pleasure and a privilege to share their day!

Leicestershire Wedding Photographer Steve Walton Receives Top BIPP Honours at Blenheim Palace

The British Institute of Professional Photography Awards took place at fabulous Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire.  Linda & I were invited to attend as I was to receive my Fellowship medal after the gala dinner.  Blenheim Palace made a fitting venue for this glittering occasion which was attended by the most respected photographers in the UK and from further afield and I was extremely privileged to share the evening with such eminent company.  This marks one of the highest and most important achievements of my career so far, Fellowship of the BIPP is not given lightly and this makes it even more poignant for me.  A wonderful evening in inspiring company, this was an event that Linda and I will never forget!
