I was delighted to receive a ‘phone call today from Colin Buck (Hon) FMPA, CEO of the Master Photographers Association, to tell me that one of my wedding images has been chosen by the BBC World Service to appear on the BBC Brazil website. I was told that following the recent Master Photographer of the Year Awards, over 600 category award-winning images were submitted by the Master Photographers Association and only 10 were selected by the BBC to appear as a slideshow on BBC Brazil Service website. The slide show is also being displayed on several other South American BBC World Service networks

Grace Dieu Manor is the lovely venue for Gareth and Rebecca’s August wedding reception. As is usual with all of my wedding clients, I met them at the Manor to discuss the schedule for their wedding day with a short photo shoot afterwards. This is an ideal icebreaker for the couple which also helps me to see how couples interact with each other, it is so important that everyone is at ease before the wedding day. The British Institute of Professional Photography Awards took place at fabulous Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire. Linda & I were invited to attend as I was to receive my Fellowship medal after the gala dinner. Blenheim Palace made a fitting venue for this glittering occasion which was attended by the most respected photographers in the UK and from further afield and I was extremely privileged to share the evening with such eminent company. This marks one of the highest and most important achievements of my career so far, Fellowship of the BIPP is not given lightly and this makes it even more poignant for me. A wonderful evening in inspiring company, this was an event that Linda and I will never forget!

Natalie & Matt’s Wedding in Rutland

Natalie and Matt chose lovely Egleton Church near Oakham in Rutland for their wedding ceremony. I love Rutland weddings, for me it’s a short drive to a very beautiful area. Rutland is the smallest county in England and is very picturesque. The happy couple had a wonderful day, the weather was perfect for them.

The day started when I joined Natalie and the girls in their preparations at her sister’s home in Oakham before leaving to join Matt at Egleton Church, close to Rutland water.

Natalie, her Dad and bridesmaids Willow, Poppy & Fern arrived on time at Egleton Church in a vintage VW bus.

After their marriage ceremony, Natalie & Matt left Egleton in the VW bus for their laid-back reception at The Falcon at Uppingham. This is a fantastic old coaching inn and a super choice of venue. The whole day was very relaxed and it was a pleasure for me to attend as Matt and Natalie’s wedding photographer. A lovely day with a super couple!
